The Full Set
Just the Mini
The most requested thing
we've never made. Until now.
The full disc is five inches across, and it's the right tool for the cooking surface. Then there's everywhere else: around the handle rivets, under the rolled rim, the seam where the wall meets the base, the inside of a lid.
A lot of you were cutting discs into pieces with kitchen scissors to get there. So we did the cutting. Ten rounds, two inches each, same disc, same two sides, ready out of the pouch.
The spots a full disc skips

Handle rivets
Where burnt oil collects first and comes off last. A mini fits under two fingertips and works right around them.
Rims and rolled edges
Bend it over the lip of the pan and run it along the edge.
Inside corners
The seam where the wall meets the base, and the small saucepans a full disc can't turn in.
Lids, handles and utensils
Stainless lids, ladles, tongs, the sink strainer. Anything stainless and small.
Two inches across
Same material, same grit, same two sides as the original. Just sized for detail work.

Grab one. Wet it. Go light.
Grab a mini
No cutting. It's already the size the job needs.
Wet it, light pressure
Wet the disc and the pan, then small strokes along the grain of the steel. Let the mineral do the work.
Rinse & air dry
The pan, and the mini. It's ready again tomorrow.
Two sides, same as the original: the brown side cleans, the black side polishes. Let the pan cool completely first, and never use it dry.
Watch it work
The first clip is the new Mini. The others were filmed with the full-size disc: same mineral, cut smaller.
How controlled abrasion works
Steelé is an abrasive, and we'll say that plainly. What matters is how the pressure lands.
Steel wool: one point, all the pressure
A hardened strand digs in wherever it lands: past the stain, into the steel. That's what a scratch is: concentrated pressure at a single random point.
Steelé: thousands of points, pressure spread
Fine mineral particles on a flexible rubber backing, used wet. Water lubricates, the backing bows over the surface, and your pressure spreads across thousands of points instead of one.
The particles lift the burnt-on layer and leave fine, even lines that blend into a brushed finish, not the random gouges steel wool leaves. Move the disc with light pressure along the grain, and the finish comes back as the stain goes. That's controlled abrasion: the principle behind polishing compound, not sandpaper. On a mirror-polished exterior, test a small hidden spot first.

The Mini is new, so these are reviews of the original full-size disc: same mineral, same backing. Pulled live from Judge.me, including the full star breakdown.

"It worked great on a commercial size stainless steel baking sheet!"

You asked. For a year.
Since we launched, the most common message in our inbox has been some version of "can you make a smaller one?" People were cutting full discs into pieces to get around the rivets and under the rim. The disc is designed to be cut, so that works. But it's one more step between you and a clean pan.
So we did the cutting for you. Same disc from the same Korean makers, ten clean rounds to a pouch. It's our first new product since the original, and it exists because you told us to make it.
Frequently asked
How is the Mini different from the Original?
Only the size. It's the same mineral disc with the same two sides, pre-cut into 2 inch rounds. The Original is a 5 inch disc for the cooking surface. The Mini is for rivets, rims, corners, lids and small pieces.
Do I need both?
If you're restoring a whole pan, start with the Original. Two inches is slow going on a 12 inch skillet. The Mini is for the detail work the full disc can't reach. They're made to work together, which is why the Full Set takes $5 off.
Can't I just cut the Original myself?
Yes. The disc is designed to be cut, and plenty of customers do. The Mini saves you the step and gives you ten clean, even rounds.
Will it scratch my stainless steel?
It's a fine abrasive, so it removes a microscopic layer along with the buildup. Used as directed (wet, light pressure, along the grain), it leaves fine, even lines that blend into the brushed finish most stainless cookware has, not the random gouges steel wool leaves. On a mirror-polished exterior, test a small hidden spot first. Press hard and dry, and you're fighting the design.
What can I use it on?
Stainless steel only: cookware, lids, utensils, sinks, and stainless surfaces. Not for non-stick, Teflon, aluminum, copper-clad, glass, ceramic, or enameled cookware. If we said it worked on everything, you shouldn't trust us about anything.
How long does a mini last?
It's the same material as the full disc, so it wears the same way: slowly. Rinse it after use, let it air dry, and keep using it until the grit wears smooth.
Shipping and returns?
US shipping is free on orders over $30 and $4.95 below that. Orders ship in 1 to 2 business days, delivery typically 3 to 5 days after that. Every purchase is eligible for return or exchange within 30 days.

Your pans are the point.
If Steelé doesn't make a visible difference on your stainless steel within 30 days, return or exchange it. The pan you're worried about cost ten times this. The risk here isn't yours.
